The definition for me:
to love someone - is like a family and friend kind of love. you would do anything to help them or for them, care about them, listen to their woes, enjoy their company, but never imagine being with them in a relationship.
being in love - same as above but on a deeper level. you constantly think about them, are consumed by them, can never imagine your life without them in it, when you look into your future they are there, you compromise with them, you sacrifice for them, when they hurt you hurt, do anything to make them happy, dream about them, break your own heart for them, you feel like a million dollars just because they smile at you, they take your breath away when you look at them, you lie awake at night to watch them sleep and most importantly, you except them for all they are, you except the good with the bad.
